TOKYO — Actress Rie Hasegawa, 38, says she has broken up with actor Masaki Kanda, 61, because he wouldn’t propose to her.
Hasegawa broke the news on her blog this week. She wrote that “I believed and waited for a proposal from him for about a year. However, it didn’t happen. We talked a lot about marriage but in the end, we decided it wouldn’t be a good idea.”
A spokesman for Kanda’s agency said that the actor would not be making any official statement.
