TOKYO — Singer Masaharu Fukuyama will perform at a free live event in Miyagi Prefecture on March 18. The event will be broadcast live on the hour-long program, “MEET THE MUSIC,” from 7 p.m. on FM52 station, created by KDDI and FM stations across Japan.
The event is held in the middle of March each year, but was canceled last year due to the March 11 disaster,.
Fukuyama said that he is honored to take part this year and hopes that his music will help cheer up the people of Miyagi Prefecture and bring a smile into their lives. A total of 106 people (53 pairs) will be invited from the Tohoku area.
